How to Buy Japanese Used Cars, Trucks & Spare Parts from AUTOS VISION

Buying a vehicle from Japan with AUTOS VISION CO., LTD. is simple. Follow these 8 steps, from choosing your car to receiving it at your port. We export to customers in Africa, the Middle East, Asia, Australia and other regions.

Step 1: Choose Your Vehicle and Send an Inquiry

Pick a car, truck or spare part from our Cars, Trucks or Spare Parts pages and send us an inquiry with your destination country and port. Cannot find what you need? Tell us the make, model, year and budget and we will search for it for you. We then send you a price quotation.

Step 2: Receive the Quotation and Pro-forma Invoice

If the price suits you, ask for a pro-forma invoice. Review it, sign it and return it to us by email. We will then reserve the vehicle for you.

Understanding export price terms:

  • FOB – vehicle price up to loading at the Japanese port. Ocean freight is not included.
  • C&F – vehicle price plus sea freight to your destination port.
  • CIF – C&F plus marine insurance.

Import duty, port clearing and local transport in your country are not included in any of these prices.

Step 3: Make the Payment by Bank Transfer

Pay the amount shown on the pro-forma invoice by telegraphic transfer (T/T). Our bank details are printed on the invoice itself. After paying, email us a copy of the bank transfer slip so we can confirm your payment quickly.

Step 4: Send Consignee Details and We Book the Shipment

Send us the consignee details: full name, address and phone number of the party receiving the vehicle. The consignee is the name that appears on the Bill of Lading and can be you, your company or your agent. Once your payment is confirmed, we start booking space on a vessel for your vehicle.

Step 5: Receive the Shipping Schedule

We tell you the vessel name, the ETD (estimated time of departure) and the ETA (estimated time of arrival). Please note that sailing dates can change because of weather, port congestion or vessel delays, and we will keep you informed of any change.

Step 6: Bill of Lading (B/L)

After the vessel departs from Japan, the shipping line issues the Bill of Lading. We check it and send you a copy. The B/L is the key document you need to collect your vehicle at the destination port.

Step 7: We Send Your Shipping Documents

We send the original documents to you by international courier and give you the tracking number. The set usually includes the Bill of Lading, the commercial invoice, the export certificate (de-registration) and the inspection certificate where required by your country.

Step 8: Customs Clearance and Vehicle Pick-up

Give the documents to your clearing agent, who will pay import duty and clear the vehicle through customs at your port. Enjoy your new vehicle! We would love to see a photo of you with it and hear about your experience.
